The Holidays are coming! Time to start preparing!
As a special event, Somerville is hosting The Lil’ Shoppers Holiday Shoppe December 1-3. This is a wonderful opportunity to teach the valuable lesson to our children that it is better to give than to receive. The students will have the opportunity to select inexpensive quality holiday gifts for loved ones (with help from parent volunteers). Most gifts are priced between $3-$7. It is designed to be a safe, child-centered environment where children can learn how to budget and spend wisely while experiencing the Joy of Giving. Only students will be shopping!
Look for the Lil’ Shoppers envelope coming home in your child’s back pack. The envelope is a great way to plan with your child who they will be shopping for and how much they should budget.
