Attendance: 12 in person, 4 online

Guest Presenter – Ms. Onembo

Teacher Presenter – Ms. Kaplan

Presented about Pixton, which is a program that students can use to develop graphic novels.

School Updates – Dr. Oates presented

Theme: Effort and how do you push through/resilience. Suggested books and activities.
Parent Book Club: Coming up in April or May. Book: Never Enough.
Donation of the month: Canned Soup.
DEI updates: Reviewed Holiday Docent programming.
OSOB – Twig lego assembly was very well received.
Staffing updates: Ms. Gripaldi returned this week. Ms. Vitale coming back 2/3. Ms. Haworth leaving, Mr. Meyer started this week, Ms. Roffo on maternity leave, returning 4/1.
Events coming up: 5^th grade concert, 5^th grade field trip, art docent, no school on MLK Jr. day and Lunar New Year, STEAM assembly – Black scientists and the arts, Min day 2/14.
School Counselor Appreciation Week – week of February 3^rd.

HSA Updates

Ice Skating Event Recap – well attended – 30 families, great weather.
Truly Szechwan fundraiser – pick up only, special menu.
Glow Party – Drop Off, registration closes 22^nd.
Career Day – Friday 31^st.
Lip Sync – 2/7, registration closes 1/31. To help crowding issues asking only immediate family to attend.
Treasurer’s Report – Katie F. presented on current status of funds.

Looking Ahead

Questions/Concerns

Jacklyn Hummel – discussion about gun safety. Requested support from HSA to fundraise to increase safety efforts.
