HSA Meeting 1/19/21

Our guest speaker today was Paul McCarthy of the Ridgewood Education Foundation.

School Updates:

• Those will an IEP or a 504 are attending in person school every day.
• The extended close of school after the holidays to be on the safe side was well received.
• The students had the Tanglewood Marionettes “Dragon King”  assembly on 1/15.
• Carla Nebbia is retiring!  We will be presenting Carla with a gift on her last day to thank her for her years of service to Somerville.  She will be missed!!!

We are very excited about the Wonka Bar Fundraiser which launches today! Bars can be purchased on Community Pass.  There are allergy free bars available for sale as well as the regular milk chocolate.  The opening of the bars for each student will hopefully enhance their enjoyment of the book.  Prizes are varied and random.  This will add some excitement to school since we all have the winter blues a bit.

Looking Ahead:

• No cook lunch/dinner fundraiser at Puzo’s on 1/26
• Virtual cookie decoration with The Circle Bake Shop on 1/30
• We are looking to help start an HSA website.
