November 19, 2020 Meeting Minutes

HSA Meeting  November 19, 2020

The HSA usually does 2 evening meetings per year. This is the first evening meeting.

• This meeting took place via Zoom with special guest Mike Lembo, President of our BOE.  Mike discussed where the district is on reopening and he took questions.

Mr. Lembo also discussed the search for our new superintendent and what it involves.  The district will be looking for input from parents and there will be a survey.

Mike Lembo, the President of the Board of Education, is also a Ridgewood Alum.  He gave a fantastic presentation on where we are as a district on the road to reopening,  He answered many questions and did a fabulous job explaining the process the district is using in order to ensure a safe and steady reopening and the search for our new superintendent.

This was a very well attended meeting.

• Teacher appreciation fruit and coffee was very much appreciated.  Every little gesture we are doing to show our appreciation for our teachers is so meaningful especially in a year like this.
• Mr. Buscher is retiring.  The HSA presented him with a gift on his last day.  He will be greatly missed!
• The Ridgewood SSA Holiday Card Drive is here.    If you would rather donate money and have HSA purchase the gift card that is fine.
• Looking ahead we have another No Cook Dinner on 12/8  from Puzo’s Pizza (dr. Oates’ favorite gluten free pizza)

There is no December meeting!!
